Blog Malfunction

WordPress has been driving me a bit nuts. I mostly post from either my iPhone or iPad, but photos taken with an iOS app end up going sideways when you look at them on a desktop. I’ve known about this for awhile, but figure most people are like me and use mostly the phone/ipad and not my desktop.

I waded in to this today, which turned into a couple hour black hole. You can rotate them all you want on either phone or desktop, and they still come out screwy. So this is one of many attempts to try to fix it.

I’ll hit post. If it’s sideways, I’m going downstairs and pouring myself a big glass of whisky.

And yes, that’s new yarn up there. It will probably be the last for awhile, since we have a couple of big trips coming up that we need to pay for.

  1. It looks like it’s ok, at least the label is right. I’ll be interested in how you like this yarn. I made a shawl with 100% Wensleydale and love it. Of course BFL is nice. I wonder what the Exmore horn is like. Keep us posted. Enjoy your travels.

  2. I mostly post from my laptop and have learned that any photo imported from iphone or ipad meeds to be edited. Just opening it and rotating 4 times does the trick as does changing the size.
    Lots of fun.
    Not

  3. I’ll add that I have the same (similar) problems with posting in Word Press with photos from my phone. Granted I may have turned the phone to take the photo, but I guess I don’t pull up and post pictures enough to remember the sequence of steps I need to do to get the pictures ‘upright’. If I’m grumpy enough, I leave them on their sides, lol. Glad to know I’m not the only one.

  4. The photo looks like it’s in the right orientation to me, but I hope you poured yourself a big glass of whisky to celebrate success!
