We’re on our way to Chicago, then we change planes for Dublin. As you can see, I started the new sock. John has changed the color name to Squashed Frog. Who knows, maybe Lowenzahn means Squashed Frog in German!
Wow, it looks like you are starting to have some fun. Good luck chg planes in CHCG, better than going into ATLN. Have a good time. Our traveling friends want to go there next year, but I want to take in Germany, Italy and Spain. Wish to take in Ireland somehow. Enjoy.

Lowenzahn (with an umlaut over the O) is Lion’s Tooth in german… Dent de Lion in French… and Dandelion in English! Though I think your name is better – it’s much more froglike than flowerish. I hope you have a wonderful trip in green, green Ireland.

you look exactly how I always feel when starting out on vacation )even if it’s just to Ca but esp if it’s someplace neat). Lots of luck in O’Hare. I haven’t been through there in probably 10 years (definitely pre 9/11) – we always fly Southwest & one of the bonuses is that they use Midway which is much nicer than O’Hare (much smaller which also makes for scary landings – I hate that oh-my-god-we’re gonna-crash feeling from not being able to see the airport until you’ve already landed.) Still better than O’Hare. Now if we could figure out how to avoic SFO – maybe we’ll try San Jose next time – it’s closer to Palo Alto anyway. I think John’s name for the yarn is much maore descriptive than the actual name. Have a great time in Ireland. (Oh – if you have some time to kill at O’Hare & are hungry – try the Berghoff sandwich stand next to gate B20 – it was the only thing that made up for the hassle of going to o’Hare – they have big thick sandwiches made from warm roasted meat (beef, corned beef, turkey) – thick slabs of very juicy [dipped] warm meat on home made bread – your choice of their home made German rye bread or thickly seeded whole grain bread.)

We are spending the night in Billings tonight and will be closer to the Canadian border tomorrow night.
