Fun Things

My favorite place online to shop for pens and ink is Goulet Pens. An ad for a fun ink brand called Colorverse popped up earlier this week, and I couldn’t resist.

It comes in various color pairs, with out of this world names. The Schrodinger is a nice medium olive green, well saturated. I inked up my Visconti fountain pen, it flows nicely, but isn’t too wet. The other two colors I got were Crystal Planet, which is just one color, and Einstein Ring, another single color pair. A few of the colors, including Cat, have shimmer particles, so be aware of that. I usually don’t use those in my more expensive pens.

  1. I love fountain and calligraphy pens and the various inks too. I have too many bottles of ink to buy more but the Colorverse inks are intriguing. This post reminds me that I have to clean some of my pens.

  2. ooohhh, I love Goulet Pens. I’m a newbie – bought my first pens (three LAMYs and a Faber-Castell) last year – but I’m hooked. I’ve pretty much stuck to blue, black and gray inks, but I’m intrigued by the colors and kind of love the posts Goulet does where the ink matches the pen. My favorite LAMY is rose gold and I’ve been looking at rosy inks. Do you have a suggestion?

  3. Interesting. So I recently took up watercolor painting and for one of the techniques I needed to buy a cheap crow quill (which came with calligraphy ink). Amazingly it worked and now I’m intrigued. If you had to buy your first pen and ink, what would you get?
