This YouTube video made our local paper this morning. This was caught by a DOT camera as the police officer in the video stopped traffic for a family of baby ducks on one of our busy freeways during the morning commute. You just have to love a guy like this.

Aw, NICE officer! It looks like that SUV was really helpful, too. I wonder if maybe they saw the ducks first and called for help?

One of the shockers from moving from NYC to the ‘burbs for me was an incident where a family of swans crossed a 4-lane highway, and all the cars stopped to let them pass. In NYC, they’d be swan stew.

Which farmer’s market do you go to? We live near the Yakima Fruit Market which is one of my favorite places, since I don’t work downtown right now, and can’t support PP Market. No matter what the weather when they re-open March 1, it is evidence that spring, and all its bounty, is indeed approaching!
