Sunset…

For Claudia, because she asked so nicely.

And doesn’t everybody knit on the beach?

I’m off to bed. Tomorrow we’re headed to see the sights at Pearl Harbor, so I need a good night’s sleep!

  1. Beautiful, Lorette! And, I think we both have the same camera, right? Rebel XT? You must tell me what your settings were for this gorgeous sunset!

  2. Oh, isn’t that gorgeous. Thanks!
Knitting on the beach is normal, absolutely. Just have to keep the ball out of the sand; I see you have your yarn containment device handy!

  3. Knitting on the beach is just about the best activity on earth. SEcond only to maybe knitting in a mountain cabin with a roraing wood fire.

  4. Thanks for your email, Lorette. I tried replied to it but your server did not accept it. I hope you are having a great time. I am sure the guys at home are well looked after. I asked only because I never manage to get away for more than a night because of my 3 cats and soon a dog too. But who cares, after all? I can always knit!

  5. oh, my….that just looks like HARD work… sitting back looking at the sunset through the palms..hearing the water…knitting…I’m just not sure I would like something like THAT! I mean…geez, I ENJOY pretripping my bus in -6 temps…it really gets you day going..you know… the CHIPPER feeling you strive for! I just don’t think I’d have the same feeling being where you are….
*okaaaay, some of us are jealous*
Have a great time! Looks like ya’ are! *grin*

  6. Wow! What a view! Much nicer than the white crap outside my window today.
Make sure to partake of a passion fruit cocktail of some sort–they’re quite tasty.

  7. such an adorable photo of you! looks like you are relaxing – and that’s a good thing.
enjoy the rest of your vacation.

  8. I’m off to bed, too. Only I’m not in Hawaii. This is my yearly big grant application deadline week – our week from work hell.
    Whining in the rain,
    Li

  9. Oh, I live vicariously through your travels! Yes, I much prefer knitting on a beach rather than swimming–unless I am really, really hot!

  11. I am very jealous! You have a picture of what I dream to do….someday.
Now however will continue work as an EM Dr in Detroit.
Glad I stumbled upon your blog

  12. There have been songs written about how I feel right now seeing you on a lovely beach while outside my abode a nasty winter storm rages…jealousy is at the centre of my emotions

  13. Oh how completely relaxing. Ahhhhh….
Thanks for sharing a bit of your time away. I know there are knitters in Hawaii… surely there’s a yarn store somewhere! 🙂
