Is red!
I’ve finished the first sleeve for the True Blood Faery sweater, and am well on my way with the second sleeve. I don’t really feel like I’m on Sleeve Island with this for some reason, I think it’s the cable section. I can be pretty entertained by knitting the same cable over and over and over and over…
Then I’ll have the hood and the button bands to go. Of course the button band is about a million stitches long, and it’s double since you knit it, then do a turning row, then knit it again. Then you get to SEW the damn thing. And it goes all the way around the hood. Terrific. It’s a good thing that I’m into mindless knitting most of the time.
Here’s the body, all done, ready for the sleeves and hood. And button bands.

Your Faery sweater is going to be fabulous, and worth all that work. I never quite grasped what it was supposed to turn out like, but I just looked at your Ravelry and am impressed. It will be wonderful. I am a tiny bit tempted now myself.

Hey – I’m knitting mine, too! I’m done with all the knitting. Now I’m about to make the tassel. Tomorrow I’m taking my buttons to my knitting group for some input. I might put a ribbon on the back of the button band for decoration and stability. I’ll let you know what my knitting group advises… I’m so glad you’re working on FR. The end is in sight!

Woot! about all the great progress on the sweater!
I just discovered True Blood and have been manically watching it via NetFlix delivery. Hadn’t even thought there might knit patterns out there. Love the red!
Mmmm.
Just try to think of attaching the button band as mindless sewing and time will really pass quickly. That sweater is looking gorgeous.
That is going to be a ‘hot’ sweater!
