Kauai!

We’ve been in Hawaii all week, but I just haven’t gotten around to posting about it. I have been taking photos, though. We’ve had a great time, it’s good to get out of the gloom that is the Pacific NW this time of year. We leave for home and reality tomorrow. For today, I’m going to enjoy every moment of this tropical paradise. Here are some photos.

A nice sunset, one of several.

That’s a monkey pod tree. I think the canopy against the sky looks like lace.

John just having fun, drinking something that looks radioactive.

Jurassic Park! Actually it’s the Allerton Botanical Gardens, but this is the tree in the movie where the little girl found the dinosaur eggs.

The Spouting Horn.

And of course some knitting! Aloha!

  1. All these days in Hawaii with these gorgeous views . . . and you just did not think of posting about it??? Imagine that!

It’s so great too see you had a wonderful time and had some respite from the cold weather in most of the rest of the states.

    Thanks for sharing!

  2. Surprised you could drag yourself away from the beauty to post at all. Just looking at the photos relaxes me. LOVE the bright socks!

  3. Pictures look beautiful!!! It looks so relaxing. In the midst of a snow storm here in the northeast – they are predicting a foot of snow!

  4. The Botanical Garden was closed for a flash flood warning when we were there, but the weather was fantastic. Strange. We also found a great yarn shop up north, also contradictory. Isn’t Kauai wonderful?
