That’s how many rows I have left to finish this shawl. Of course I currently have 425 stitches on the needles, and that increases to 693 by the end of the shawl.
I have 2 balls of this yarn, about 1700 yards total. The shawl takes about 1600 yards. Plenty, right?
I went looking for the second hank of this just now. It doesn’t appear to be in any of the usual hiding places.
I can see a house tear-apart in my future. This is not helping the migraine that I woke up with today.
Fingers crossed that you find it! You’ve got this!
I had a shawl like that with 750 sts of lace on a #7 circular needle that I got a great deal on from China. I found out why it was so cheap when the needle broke, dumping maybe 400 live lacework sts onto my lap. I was in the back teacher’s studio at the yarn shop where I teach, so I sent my hubby on an emergency mission into the main shop to buy me a 36 inch, #6 circular needle from a reputable manufacturer. I picked up the sts as best as I could and then sent him back in for a #7. With the help of a small crochet hook, I straightened out the lace as best as I could on the next row, did the narrow edging and bound off. Gave it to my sister for Christmas and if she noticed places where rhe lace was a little “off” she never said anything. Good quality tools save money in the long run, my carpenter father said. He said a poor quality hammer would inflame the tendons in the cabinet maker’s forearm. Hear, hear.
Julie in San Diego where it is cool and misty. I hope we get a good rain so the fire season ends. These fires are crazy.
