Lewey

Our sweet boy Lewey left us earlier this week. He was a few months away from being 14, so while it wasn’t exactly a surprise, it has been a tough week. He was such a sweet, funny boy. That photo is fairly recent, here are some older memories.

And that’s all I have to say about that. It’s still pretty sad around here without him.

I’m going to try to be better about posting, I’m blaming my lack of motivation on the mess that is 2020.

  1. Doggie Boy Oliver came up just a bit short of 14 as well. They sure leave a large hole in our lives when they go. I can still see him around here from the corner of my eye, charging out of the bedroom when the doorbell rings.

  2. Steve’s Riley is 14. Because he’s all white, if there’s gray there, we don’t notice it. So I forget how old he is.
    I loved Lewie.

  3. So sad that their lives are so damn short. They pack a whole lot of love into their lives for us. Know that you made his life better.

  4. I’m so sorry for Lewis. He was so sweet. Hugs I know the emptiness as I lost 2 last year

  6. You and John know how I feel about Lewey. He was a great dog and i always loved reading about his adventures. I loved it when he came to bring me lunch when I was being treated for my breast cancer. I miss him and I’m sending big hugs.

  7. That sweet boy always seemed to be smiling from the “pages” of your blog. I love the picture of him with the mixer whisk. I’m so sorry for your loss.

  8. I’m so sorry for your loss.

Don’t feel badly about lack of posting – I’m right there with you. It is definitely a sequelae of the Corona virus.

  9. I am so very sorry for your loss. He was a very lucky dog to have been loved so deeply by you and your husband. RIP Lewey.

  10. This breaks my heart, because I know how much he meant to you; I’ve never met him and he meant a lot to me. I hope he’s having fun with all of the other sweethearts in heaven. Take care. xoxoxo
